Adventures in Decorating: Pergola is up

It’s funny how one ten foot tall structure can change the feel of an entire house and yard. I wish we’d completed this years ago when I first wanted it. In a few months we will have it stained the same color as the fascia boards. Next up is Fleur de Lis hooks on the posts for wreaths! Cannot wait to enjoy this for many years to come. Mr. Landscape did a great job! Chris Rafert is a great guy with a wonderful crew.

Finally I am ahead for a holiday. Not 100% done, but done enough to focus on the wine party prep for the next 9 days. Enjoy your patriotic decorating!

Adventures in Decorating: solving the does it match problem

Need to find things from lots of different places and hate hoping it will match when you get home. Make a story board and keep it with you. Add pieces to it as you fin them. Before you know it you’ll have a perfectly coordinated party.

Pergola Day Two

Should be done tomorrow. I’ve never been so in love with a home improvement project.
